Cedar Hill Shares may be a new name but it includes two well established local endeavors, The Cedar Hill Food Pantry and The New 2 You Thrift Store. The new name speaks to our mission of a community wide effort to help those in need.
This year we are again participating in North Texas Giving Day on September 17th. This is a one day event seeking online donations to benefit North Texas Charities. There is nothing to buy, no gala to go to just get up on September 17th, go on line and give using your debit or credit card. Gifts of $25 or more are eligible for bonus funds which just leverages your gift. The web address for giving is NorthTexasGivingDay.org .
Currently over 2,000 individuals in Cedar Hill rely on our Food Pantry for food. These neighbors make over 17,000 visits a year to the Pantry.
North Texas Giving Day has become an important fund raiser for Cedar Hill Shares. Last year we collected over $17,000 and we need to do even better in 2015. Please mark September 17th on your calendar and help us make this a successful day.
