Feb 7 is the NFL Super Bowl Date. Did you know there is another bowl game that same day? It is the Souper Bowl of Caring. Every year there is a nation wide effort to fill shelves for food pantries. Churches and other organizations are ask to take part in the important and fun activity. Many churches ask members to bring non-perishable ( not restricted to soup) items to support their favorite team.
Every year the Kroger Store located at 235 E Fm 1382 in Cedar Hill fills grocery bags with food items typically distributed at the Food Pantry. Bags are available for purchase at the Cedar Hill Kroger store from January 20 until February 7, 2016. We are excited because bags purchased at the Cedar Hill Kroger go directly to the Cedar Hill Food Pantry while bags from other stores are sent to the North Texas Food Bank. Thank you Cedar Hill businesses and citizens for supporting the Food Pantry by participating in Souper Bowl of Caring.
Volunteers are needed to promote/sell Souper Bowl of Caring bags at the Cedar Hill Kroger between January 20 and February 7, 2016 from 4-7:00 PM. Please give us a call if you would like to help. Volunteers will work in the store to meet, greet, inform and encourage customers to purchase Souper Bowl of Caring bags.
